Leelanau Reunion – October 8-10, 2010!! Mark your calendar!
Remember when…
Remember that summer when you were a perfect dipper? Remember when your cabin beat the older cabin above you for honor cabin? Remember that council fire skit that everyone laughed about all summer long? What about all the flag trip stories, cabin days, canoeing trips, soccer games, team games, songs and more….? Remember how great it is at camp! And now it’s time to be campers again so we can all remember together and relive the “good ol’ days.”
Save Columbus Day weekend of 2010 and make plans to be at Camp. Bring yourself and find some of your long lost camp friends to meet you there. We’re celebrating 90 years of Camp and this reunion will be bigger and better than any before! We’re launching a full assault on all alums to attend no matter where you went to camp – Glen Arbor, Northport or at Port Oneida. Alums will be calling and getting calls. Emails will be sent and the official Facebook page will carry updates. We’ll do everything we can to reach our goal of having over 100 alums at this reunion! Kohahna had close to that number and I think we can do the same or better.
In order for us to have all decades well represented we need your help. The first thing you can do is to be sure that camp knows your correct home address, email address and phone number. If you haven’t received recent emails from me, it means we don’t have your updated email address. Also, we are hoping everyone reading this will call a couple friends and make the commitment to come. (You can request cabinmates!)
There is a planning committee at the present time that consists of one alum from each decade. Help is needed calling alums from your time at camp. If you would like to help out by making these contacts or in any other way please be in touch with me via email, snail mail or phone. Your ideas are also welcome – this is your reunion! So free up your calendars that weekend and make your travel plans early. This reunion will be added to your list of camp memories, you won’t want to miss it. Plus…when was the last time you really let loose and acted like a kid at camp? I don’t know when the last time was but the next time could be October 8-10, 2010!
