Thank you for sending your daughters to camp. As we look back over the years, it is the best gift our parents ever gave us, as it was the camp experience that nurtured and strengthened our relationship with God.

We are excited as we plan for this summer. We are interviewing counselors, planning activities and preparing for Council Fire. Our summer theme will be, “A Gracious Heart” and as we help campers understand what graciousness is, they will learn the many ways to apply it in their daily life.

To those of you who feel pulled between camp and the demands of other activities, I want to suggest to you that sending your daughter to Camp Kohahna is an investment in her spiritual growth. She will acquire spiritual tools that will enhance every aspect of her life. It is the camp experience that makes your daughter a stronger and more competitive athlete or performer and a more conscientious student. She will seek harmonious relationships with friends and family. She will learn to set goals and achieve them!

The ultimate gift is the constant reminder that she is loved, cherished and guided by God. She learns that God is an ever present help and she is never alone. She learns how to be a leader and grows in courage as she learns to stand alone when needed and is not influenced negatively by her peers, media and world beliefs.
